However, the board of Directors of Tesla stated that they believe in the work ethics of Musk and added, “fully confident in Elon, his integrity, and his leadership of the company.” After the Directors tried to make a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Elon gave an ultimatum to Tesla that he would quit as the CEO of Tesla if any settlement was made. The case is yet to be resolved.
• In July 2022, he pulled out of $44bn bid to buy Twitter, alleging multiple breaches of the agreement. The announcement came after a series of twists after he decided to buy the social media platform in April 2022. According to Musk, the decision came after Twitter failed to provide enough information on the number of spam and fake accounts. Later, in a statement, Twiter said that it had planned to pursue legal action to enforce the agreement. - He has his roots in America, Canada, South Africa and also has Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry.
- At the age of 10, Elon started teaching himself computer programming after developing an interest in the Commodore VIC-20 (computer).
- He sold his first video game, ‘Blastar’ to ‘PC and Office Technology’ (a magazine) for $500. He was just 12 years old at that time.
