An all-pink house by Albert Frey hits the market in Palm Springs
There’s no missing this pastel pink property in Palm Springs, designed by acclaimed local architects Albert Frey and Robson Chambers – and now on the market for $3m.
Its salmon-coloured exterior is the perfect foil for the bright blue skies of California and the San Jacinto Mountains that sit behind the modernist property. The three-bedroom home dates back to 1964, when it was built for local TV and radio station owner Carl Haymond. But the current owner completely renovated the house two years ago – adding its distinctive pink paint job.
Its kitschy colour scheme switches tract inside the midcentury home, where rooms are drenched in retro shades of green and yellow. And though the decor is new, steel cabinets, aluminium grilles, terrazzo flooring and sliding glass doors are all original.
The Carl Haymond Residence at 1415 N Camino Centro is listed with TTK Represents.
