Holiday schedule

The Federal Reserve recognizes 11 federal holidays each year. Below are the remaining 2023 holidays and the 2024 schedule.

Are Banks Open Today?

This Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, is Veterans Day in the United States. The Federal Reserve recognizes this day as a federal holiday, and most bank and credit union branches will be closed. Since Veterans Day falls on a Saturday this year, most banks will be open on Friday, Nov. 10 and Monday, Nov. 13. Not all banks follow the same holiday schedule, so check your bank’s website for specific details on holiday closures or limited hours. Federal holidays don’t impact accessing your account via online banking or a mobile app. You can still log in to check your statement, pay bills, transfer money or make a mobile deposit, but posted fund transfers and deposits might be delayed due to the holiday. If you need to visit a bank in-person to obtain a cashier’s check, apply for a loan or make a large cash deposit, it’s good to know when the banks are closed.
